Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer
Location: Offshore, Qatar
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer with robust offshore oil and gas commissioning experience. The role involves leading commissioning and start-up operations for assigned offshore projects, ensuring compliance with QP standards, industry best practices, and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will bring multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge, hands-on commissioning expertise, and leadership in high-pressure offshore environments.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.E.) in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Proficiency in commissioning tools/software such as ICAPS or equivalent.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience:
-
12 to 14 years of relevant experience in construction, installation, and commissioning within the oil & gas industry.

Proven offshore project experience is highly preferred.

Hands-on expertise in commissioning the following systems:

Fire & Gas (F&G) Systems

Distributed Control Systems (DCS)

Integrated Control Systems (ICS)

Power Management Systems
-
Instrument Air Systems
-
Wellhead Control Panels/Systems

Background in applying construction and commissioning best practices, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Act as the Commissioning Team Leader representing QP for assigned offshore projects.

Review and comment on EPIC Contractor's pre-commissioning, commissioning, and completion scopes of work.

Lead outsourced contractors providing pre-commissioning and start-up services; ensure alignment with QP procedures and industry standards.

Develop and obtain approval for Commissioning Strategies and Commissioning Plans, coordinating with the End User and Contractor.

Prepare and approve system/subsystem commissioning procedures, handover checklists, and certificates.

Coordinate the manpower, vendor support, and equipment resources necessary to meet the commissioning schedule.

Oversee punch list activities, from generation to clearance and final closeout.

Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and on-site safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, etc.).

Support the project closeout phase including lessons learned, final reporting, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with QP’s HSE standards, including outdoor/field supervision and coordination in multi-discipline, multicultural settings.
