Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer with strong expertise in offshore oil and gas commissioning projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in a challenging, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commissioning activities for assigned offshore projects, acting as the main liaison between project teams and contractors.
  • Review and provide feedback on scope of work for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and completion activities.
  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, and procedures in line with project and contract requirements.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with company regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Organize and manage the commissioning team and ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate commissioning schedules, vendor visits, and on-the-job training for critical equipment.
  • Work closely with construction teams, contractors, and end users to manage punch lists and resolve system or equipment issues.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and safety design reviews.
  • Support project closeout activities and gate approvals.
  • Manage frequent fieldwork and flexible working hours, often requiring extended time on-site.
  • Communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 12 to 14 years of experience in oil and gas construction, commissioning, and installation.
  • Proven expertise in commissioning fire and gas (F&G) systems, distributed control systems (DCS), integrated control systems (ICS), power management, instrument air, and wellhead control systems.
  • Experience with offshore projects strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with commissioning software tools such as ICAPS or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
