Overview:
We are seeking a Senior CFD Engineer to lead computational fluid dynamics work across the energy sector. This role covers early concept studies, detailed design, operational support, and late-life/decommissioning. You will own CFD scopes, converting complex simulations into clear, decision-ready outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver CFD workstreams within multi-disciplinary projects.

Run simulations using CFX and internal toolsets; perform supporting calculations.

Produce technical notes, reports, and client briefings.

Act as client interface; contribute to proposals, marketing, and industry forums.

Ensure compliance with design bases, standards, procedures, and QA processes.

Draft and review specifications, procedures, and datasheets.

Travel occasionally for workshops, reviews, and presentations.
Requirements:

Engineering degree (or equivalent).

Proven CFD experience in energy or oil & gas; CFX experience preferred.

Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid properties, and phase behaviour.

Understanding of process facility and utilities design.

Experience with steady-state modelling and uncertainty assessment.

Excellent written and verbal communication; client-facing experience.

Proficient in MS Office.
Desirable:

Proposal input and CFD scope estimation experience.

Interest or experience in energy transition work (CCUS, hydrogen, renewables).
