Overview:
We are seeking an experienced CFD Engineer to lead computational fluid dynamics (CFD) work across the energy sector. The role spans early concept studies, detailed design, operational support, and late-life/decommissioning. You will take ownership of CFD scopes, turning complex simulations into clear, decision-ready insights for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver CFD workstreams within multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Run simulations using CFX and internal toolsets; carry out supporting calculations.

  • Translate results into concise technical notes, reports, and client briefings.

  • Act as a client interface, contributing to proposals, marketing materials, and industry forums.

  • Ensure quality by applying design bases, standards, procedures, and QA practices.

  • Draft and review specifications, procedures, datasheets, and other discipline deliverables.

  • Travel occasionally for workshops, reviews, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Proven CFD experience in energy or oil & gas; CFX experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid properties, and phase behaviour.

  • Knowledge of process facility and utilities design considerations.

  • Experience with steady-state modelling and uncertainty assessment for production systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident client-facing experience.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Experience contributing to proposals and estimating CFD scopes.

  • Interest or experience in energy transition work (CCUS, hydrogen, renewables).
