Job Title: Senior Business Partner - People & Leadership

Location: Utrecht, Netherlands

Hours: 32 hours per week

Contract: Until 31 December 2025 (with potential extension)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Partner to act as a strategic liaison to board members and senior leadership teams. In this role, you will co-develop and implement people strategies that align with business goals, support workforce planning, and lead initiatives to develop leadership capabilities across the organisation. You will provide strategic guidance, data-driven insights, and coaching to senior leaders, while also supporting key people-related transformations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner for board members and senior leadership teams on strategic people topics.
  • Co-develop and implement workforce planning and succession strategies.
  • Translate business plans and external developments into actionable workforce scenarios.
  • Identify skill gaps, development needs, and retention priorities; drive initiatives to address them.
  • Lead or contribute to people-related transformations and change initiatives.
  • Monitor performance and provide recommendations to improve leadership effectiveness and talent management.
  • Provide coaching and development support to senior leaders.
  • Support operational HR matters where needed, such as performance or absenteeism cases.
  • Promote a positive organisational culture and act as a role model for change leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HBO degree or equivalent; relevant academic or professional background.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in strategic HR, organisational development, or business partnering at senior levels.
  • Strong experience working with executive teams or boards.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into people strategy.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching skills.
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and driving change in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside within approximately one hour of the Utrecht office.
  • Pre-employment screening will be required.
