Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing water sector team within a leading international engineering consultancy.
This role offers the chance to lead complex, high-value infrastructure programmes across the UK, supporting major investment cycles and working with key industry stakeholders.
The Role
You will take ownership of delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary projects or programmes, ensuring performance across time, cost, and quality.
Acting as the key interface between clients and delivery teams, you will play a critical role in managing stakeholder relationships and driving successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes within the UK water sector
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective collaboration and performance
- Act as the primary client interface, building and maintaining strong relationships
- Manage commercial and financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, and invoicing
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with governance, safety, and quality standards
- Support bids and tender submissions with programme and cost input
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Support business development and client engagement activities
Requirements
- Proven experience within the UK water sector (consultancy, contractor, or client-side)
- Strong experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
- Experience working with NEC contracts or similar frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and project financial management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated career progression and leadership capability
