Position Title: Senior E3D Administrator / Lead E3D Administrator

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Office-based)

Employment Type: Fixed Term Direct - 24 months

Overview:

We are working with a major player in the offshore energy sector to support the delivery of large-scale engineering projects. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior E3D Administrator or Lead E3D Administrator to manage the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AVEVA E3D systems used in complex offshore design environments.

This is a key role within the engineering design team, responsible for system administration, model control, user support, and optimisation of E3D/PDMS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer AVEVA E3D systems, including project setup, catalogues/specs, and system configuration.
  • Support engineering teams with 3D modelling and ensure consistent data integration across disciplines.
  • Perform regular database checks, model integrity reviews, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with design leads to ensure E3D environment aligns with project execution needs.
  • Assist in material take-offs and ensure compliance with project standards and offshore industry practices.
  • Develop and manage E3D macros or PML applications as needed.
  • Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure effective usage of E3D tools.
  • Ensure model compliance with quality control standards and project-specific procedures.
  • Liaise with global project teams to ensure efficient data exchange and interoperability across platforms.
  • Support drawing generation through AutoCAD or integrated drafting tools as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
  • Completed training or certification in AVEVA E3D / PDMS or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in an AVEVA E3D environment, ideally in offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Proven expertise in system administration, catalogue/spec management, and materials take-off (MTO).
  • Strong understanding of drafting techniques and standards applicable to the offshore energy sector.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring users within a large multi-discipline design team is preferred.

Software Skills:

  • Advanced skills in AVEVA E3D, PML, MDS, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with multi-discipline 3D design integration and data control processes.

Technical & Personal Skills:

  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical support capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to operate independently within a project-driven environment.
