Job Title: Regional Security & Incident Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Overview
We are working with a global organisation seeking an experienced Regional Security & Incident Manager to oversee and strengthen security operations across multiple business units and project locations.

This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security and incident management frameworks, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. You will act as a key advisor to leadership, while driving best practices, risk mitigation, and crisis readiness across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of security and incident management systems across the operating region

  • Coordinate security personnel and stakeholders across offices, projects, and sites

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners

  • Provide expert advice to business leaders on security risks and mitigation strategies

  • Develop and maintain regional security networks and frameworks

  • Conduct security risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments

  • Analyse intelligence to identify emerging risks and implement preventative measures

  • Develop and implement physical, technical, and procedural security controls

  • Oversee travel risk management and ensure compliance with internal guidelines

  • Lead incident response, crisis management planning, and training initiatives

  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and provide actionable outcomes

  • Support continuous improvement through audits and performance monitoring

Deliverables

  • Security risk assessments for sites and projects

  • Country and regional risk briefings

  • Security plans, procedures, and crisis management frameworks

  • Security surveys, inspections, and internal audits

  • Incident reporting and performance tracking

  • Training programmes and awareness initiatives

  • Annual objectives and security improvement roadmaps

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in security or incident management within a corporate or operational environment

  • Alternatively, 5+ years of management experience within the energy or infrastructure sector

  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, crisis management, and security operations

  • Experience in developing and implementing security strategies and plans

  • Knowledge of compliance, governance, and duty of care principles

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Ability to manage complex situations and make decisions under pressure

  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in high-risk or international environments

  • Familiarity with security technologies such as access control and monitoring systems

  • Experience supporting travellers and remote operations

  • Background in incident response planning and training

  • Relevant professional certifications in security or risk management
