Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 hours per day

Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Scaffold Coordinator to support ongoing industrial construction activities in Rotterdam. This role is central to ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective coordination of all scaffolding and access operations on a major green energy project.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of scaffolding systems, HSE leadership, and team coordination within high-hazard, heavy industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Site Manager and lead scaffold coordination across site activities

  • Ensure scaffold work is scheduled in alignment with project priorities and construction phases

  • Coordinate between the project team and scaffold subcontractors to meet planning and material needs

  • Oversee scaffold planning, erection, modification, and dismantling activities

  • Ensure all engineered scaffolds are identified early and executed according to specification

  • Supervise all scaffold activities and enforce safety procedures on-site

  • Maintain scaffold inspection routines and ensure compliance with regulatory and site standards

  • Support the development and execution of safe systems of work

  • Contribute to toolbox talks, safety walks, and compliance checks

  • Liaise with engineering and construction teams on scaffold-related requirements

  • Provide input into scaffolding work packs and turnaround operations

  • Manage scaffold register, weekly inspections, and quarantining of non-compliant systems

  • Participate in incident investigations and promote lessons learned

  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to safety protocols, lifting methods, and working-at-height procedures

  • Provide technical guidance and support training where required

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in construction with at least 10 years in scaffolding coordination or supervision

  • Experience in industrial gas, petrochemical, or energy construction projects

  • Experience working in the Botlek / Rotterdam region is strongly preferred

  • Recognised qualifications or certifications in scaffolding or construction management

  • Fluent in both English and Dutch (written and spoken)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Demonstrated leadership in HSE and site coordination

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-first approach

Desirable:

  • Prior experience representing the client rather than working through an EPC contractor

  • Strong understanding of scaffold engineering and temporary works
