SAFETY OFFICER
Location: Qatar
Contract period: 1/4/2026 - 31/3/2030
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor activities within project sites (onshore & offshore), conduct HSE inspections, ensuring compliance with safety systems, risk assessments, and permit to work processes
- Identify and implement hazard/risk reduction measures throughout contract phases
- Participate in review of method statements, job safety analyses, certifications, and related HSE documentation from contractors
- Provide technical service in health and safety to ensure contractor(s) compliance with HSE plans, risk registers, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, emergency response programs, and safety systems
- Assist in incident investigation, reporting, and action close-out for all incidents and accidents within projects
- Conduct HSE awareness meetings, safety audits, and advise on corrective measures
Requirements:
- HNC/B.Sc. or equivalent in engineering discipline; NEBOSH or equivalent Safety Diploma; preferably an associate member of a recognized safety institution
- Offshore training (TBOSIET & H2S OPITO approved), PTW, JSA, and incident investigation training desirable
- ISO 45001 and lead auditor training preferred
- Minimum 12 years' experience in project or operational safety, with focus on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, both offshore and onshore
- Experience in the Arabian Gulf is desirable
- Excellent communication, proficiency in PC and relevant software usage
