Position: Safety Training Coordinator / Trainer – Compliance
Location: Qatar
Minimum Qualifications:

Proficiency in English (spoken, read, and written) with the ability to write and explain complex ideas, instructions, and procedures.

High School graduate and graduate of a 3-year technical school.

At least one recognized safety credential.
Minimum Work Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator in a petrochemical plant.

Strong understanding of petrochemical plant safety standards, procedures, and potential hazards.
Key Responsibilities:

Train and qualify contract personnel on compliance with plant safety procedures.

Schedule, plan, and coordinate safety training programs for contract employees.
-
Monitor and follow up on safety training requirements and certifications for all contract employees.

Conduct safety courses for work permit procedures, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and try procedures.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of employee qualifications and certifications.

Implement plant loss prevention programs and ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Provide safety consulting services and guidance as needed.

Ensure compliance with company reporting systems for incidents and accidents.

Conduct safety introductions for new employees in accordance with company safety rules.

Perform task risk analyses before maintenance jobs and monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Continuously monitor near misses and report findings.

Conduct regular toolbox meetings to reinforce safety practices.

Actively participate in company safety and training programs to promote a safe work environment.
