Position: Safety Training Coordinator / Trainer – Compliance

Location: Qatar

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken, read, and written) with the ability to write and explain complex ideas, instructions, and procedures.

  • High School graduate and graduate of a 3-year technical school.

  • At least one recognized safety credential.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator in a petrochemical plant.

  • Strong understanding of petrochemical plant safety standards, procedures, and potential hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and qualify contract personnel on compliance with plant safety procedures.

  • Schedule, plan, and coordinate safety training programs for contract employees.

  • Monitor and follow up on safety training requirements and certifications for all contract employees.

  • Conduct safety courses for work permit procedures, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and try procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of employee qualifications and certifications.

  • Implement plant loss prevention programs and ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations.

  • Provide safety consulting services and guidance as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with company reporting systems for incidents and accidents.

  • Conduct safety introductions for new employees in accordance with company safety rules.

  • Perform task risk analyses before maintenance jobs and monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Continuously monitor near misses and report findings.

  • Conduct regular toolbox meetings to reinforce safety practices.

  • Actively participate in company safety and training programs to promote a safe work environment.
