Job Summary:
A leading energy company is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment, including gas turbines, compressors, and pumps, across onshore facilities. This role ensures safe, reliable, and optimised performance of critical equipment, with active involvement in planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, and refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and guide maintenance teams on rotating equipment activities and troubleshooting.

  • Plan and execute major planned and unplanned jobs, including turbines, compressors, and pumps, coordinating with planning and shutdown teams.

  • Ensure quality control of maintenance and refurbishment activities, including verification of OEM work.

  • Review availability of spares and recommend stock creation or procurement to maintain critical equipment readiness.

  • Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and other technical investigations.

  • Provide technical training and coaching to mechanical technicians and local development trainees.

  • Lead repair and refurbishment processes for critical components, ensuring timely completion.

  • Assist lead engineers with initiatives such as contract preparation, roadmap implementation, and technical innovations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.

  • Hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and major overhauls.

  • Sound knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and auxiliary systems.

  • Familiarity with company and international standards, specifications, and SAP.

  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with engineering software tools.

  • Solid problem-solving, teamwork, and technical coordination skills.

  • Ability to manage complex maintenance tasks across multiple stakeholders and assets.
