Contract Duration: Fixed Term Direct - 24 months

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Risk Engineer to support risk management efforts across major capital projects. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of risk management strategies, procedures, and tools, aligned with corporate frameworks. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that may impact project objectives-contributing directly to improved delivery performance and lifecycle value.

You will facilitate risk workshops, manage risk registers, and perform data analysis at both the project and portfolio levels. This position works closely with project control teams, change coordinators, and other key stakeholders to ensure risk is proactively managed across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of project-specific risk management plans, tools, and processes
  • Facilitate internal and external risk workshops, reviews, and related meetings
  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with internal policies and industry standards
  • Deliver training and mentoring to build risk awareness and competency across teams
  • Maintain and update consolidated risk registers and perform data analytics for risk reporting
  • Support proposal and FEED phases by defining risk contingencies and mitigation actions
  • Work with Project Control Managers to perform Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) for schedule and cost exposure
  • Collaborate with MOC coordinators to evaluate risks associated with project changes
  • Generate regular risk status reports for senior leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related discipline
  • Risk-related certifications such as PMI-RMP, RIMS-CRMP, or PRM are highly desirable
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an added advantage
  • Over 8 years of experience in a project-related field, or a minimum of 5 years' direct experience in project or enterprise risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements in a complex organizational setting
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced facilitator with a proven track record conducting cross-functional workshops
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
