Position Title: Quality Lead (Pre-EPC)

Location: Qatar - Onshore

Working Schedule: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week (26 days/month)

Contract Term: 36 months (possibility of extension)

Role Purpose:

The Quality Lead (Pre-EPC) will manage all quality assurance and control activities during the pre-EPC phase of major energy projects. This includes oversight of ITT development, EPC evaluations, vendor verification, and Long Lead/High Value Items (LLIs/HVIs) management up to EPC award. The role ensures compliance with QMS, international standards, and lessons learned, supporting flawless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre-EPC quality assurance and control, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
  • Oversee ITT (Instruction to Tender) processes, including kick-off meetings, bid evaluations, clarifications, and tender bulletins.
  • Lead quality management planning for long lead and high-value items, including third-party inspections.
  • Develop and implement Quality Intervention Plans during FEED and detailed design phases.
  • Monitor contractor compliance, audit performance, and manage intervention points until novation to EPC contractors.
  • Participate in project quality steering group meetings, lessons learned sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Ensure all quality requirements are incorporated into contracts and purchase orders.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting for audits, non-conformances, and quality KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of quality experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO/TS 29001, API Q1, API Q2, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Experience in tendering, bid evaluation, and contract award processes.
  • Proven knowledge of managing long lead/high-value items and vendor oversight.
  • Experience with large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
