Position Title: Quality Lead - Improvement

Work Schedule: 10 hrs/day, 6 days/week, ~26 days/month

Work Location: Onshore, Qatar

Contract Term: 36 months (possibility to extend)

Estimated Start Date: October 2025 or ASAP

Job Purpose

The Quality Lead - Improvement is responsible for the integrity and fit-for-service of all goods and services procured across major projects. This role ensures high-quality, cost-effective, and safe operations while identifying trends and areas for improvement to enhance project quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Challenges

  • Providing oversight under tight timelines while maintaining excellence in quality assurance.
  • Establishing, managing, and enforcing the Quality Management System across projects.
  • Ensuring contractors, vendors, and suppliers meet all quality requirements and deliver projects on time, within budget, and flawlessly.
  • Driving continuous improvement by analyzing quality data and implementing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct trend analysis of quality data and develop improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with project quality managers to implement quality improvement initiatives in line with industry standards.
  • Monitor and assess the work of contractors and vendors.
  • Evaluate project quality risks and develop contingency plans using quality tools such as SWOT, FMEA, infinity diagram, fault tree analysis, decision tree, and bowtie analysis.
  • Analyze audit results, deficiency reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and specification deviations to identify trends and propose improvements.
  • Provide guidance to contractor and vendor quality personnel on quality plans, gap analyses, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collect lessons learned to improve future projects and enhance quality interfaces.
  • Develop and implement electronic quality controls, dashboards, and file management systems.
  • Participate in project lessons learned sessions to optimize processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Quality within the Oil & Gas or related industries, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Experience in quality improvement processes and statistical methods (e.g., Power BI, control charts, fishbone diagrams, regression analysis).
  • Strong understanding of project risk management and statistical quality tools.
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, and service providers on large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with project management systems relevant to oil & gas or industrial projects.
