MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
Service Description – QC Inspector WAG Manifold.
The Service Provider will deliver QC services at the WAG (Water Alternate Gas) manifolds worksite in Rio, Brazil, with frequent travel to Distrito Industrial – Vespasiano/MG, Brazil.
Responsible for ensuring the Contractor (CTR) supplies WAG Manifold and Foundations on time, aligned with TotalEnergies’ HSE policies and required quality standards.
ACTIVITIES
The Service Provider will liaise with:
- CPY Subsea HSE Lead
- CPY Quality Lead
- CPY Materials & Welding Lead
- CPY Delivery Lead
HSE and Compliance Responsibilities
- Fully comply with site security, health, and safety instructions; maintain hazard awareness.
- Demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding H3SE rules and enforce decisions from CPY Subsea HSE Lead.
- Report issues/anomalies using facility systems and exercise TOTAL STOP WORK policy when required.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed, management of change followed, and tool-box talks conducted effectively.
- Demonstrate integrity and adherence to the Company Ethics and Code of Conduct, promoting Anti-Corruption Program compliance.
WORK TASKS
The Service Provider will ensure CTR and sub‑CTR work complies with CPY and Project Specifications for WAG Manifolds and Foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of welds and welding processes to verify compliance with WPS/PQR, codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Perform welding inspections before, during, and after welding per ISO 3834‑2 requirements.
- Apply extensive inspection experience (minimum 10 years) with CRA materials, including Super Duplex (Pipe/Forging/HIPPED), Inconel 625, and LAS (F22).
- Inspect buttering, overlay, and girth welds using Inconel 625 and Alloy 59 consumables.
- Use advanced inspection techniques:Interpret WPS and PQR to validate conformance during production.

- Magnetic Particle
- Liquid Penetrant
- Radiographic Testing
- Inspect incoming materials against requirements and mill certificates.
- Participate in root cause analysis for welding defects and contribute to corrective action planning with welding engineers and production teams.
- Identify and report deviations or unacceptable conditions that may impact SPS equipment fabrication, installation, or production.
- Prepare detailed weekly inspection reports.
- Collaborate with Company Site Representative and CPY Material Engineer on welding/NDT/material issues.
- Stop work in cases of non‑conformity and reassess before resuming.
- Work with contractors and subcontractors to resolve issues without impacting schedule while maintaining required quality standards.
- Drive closure of non‑conformities in a timely manner.
- Follow up on welding activities and report findings to the project team.
- Participate in COMPANY and contractor audits and follow up on issue resolution.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
The role supports the execution phase of a major project in Suriname (Block 58 offshore).
The multidisciplinary Suriname GPI team coordinates project activities for deep and shallow-water developments.
Technical challenges include:
- Reservoir development
- FPSO
- Subsea production/injection systems
The objective is to maximize economic performance through optimized reserves, schedule, cost efficiency, reduced GHG emissions, and strong technical and H3SE standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Prior experience with WAG Manifolds and Subsea Structures
- 15+ years of welding inspection experience with deep understanding of welding processes
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, or equivalent
- NDT Level 3 certification (UT & PAUT, RT, DPI)
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Languages: Fluent English (Portuguese/French is a plus)
