MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The Service Provider will deliver QC services at the WAG (Water Alternate Gas) manifolds worksite based in Rio, Brazil, with frequent travel to Distrito Industrial – Vespasiano/MG. The role ensures the Contractor supplies WAG Manifolds and Foundations on schedule, in compliance with CLIENT HSE policies and required quality standards.

ACTIVITIES

The Service Provider will liaise with:

  • CPY Subsea HSE Lead

  • CPY Quality Lead

  • CPY Materials & Welding Lead

  • CPY Delivery Lead

HSE AND COMPLIANCE – THE SERVICE HOLDER SHALL:

  • Fully comply with site security, health, and safety requirements and maintain continuous hazard awareness

  • Demonstrate exemplary H3SE behaviour, complete required training, and follow CPY Subsea HSE Lead directives

  • Report issues/anomalies through site systems and apply STOP WORK when necessary

  • Ensure risk assessments and toolbox talks are performed effectively

  • Comply with Company Ethics and Code of Conduct, supporting Anti-Corruption initiatives

WORK TASKS

The Service Holder will ensure that work performed by CTR and sub-contractors complies with CPY and Project Specifications for WAG Manifolds and Foundations. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct inspection of welds and welding processes in accordance with WPS/PQR, codes, standards, and specifications

  • Perform inspections before, during, and after welding per ISO 3834-2 requirements

  • Apply extensive inspection experience (minimum 10 years) with CRA materials: Super Duplex (Pipe/Forging/HIPPED), Inconel 625, and LAS (F22)

  • Inspect buttering, overlay, and girth welding using Inconel 625 and Alloy 59 consumables

  • Perform advanced NDT methods:

    • Visual

    • Ultrasonic

    • PAUT (Phased Array UT)

    • Magnetic Particle

    • Liquid Penetrant

  • Verify testing in accordance with ASME and DNV requirements

  • Review WPS and PQR to validate production compliance

  • Inspect incoming materials against specifications and mill certificates

  • Participate in root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions

  • Identify and report deviations or quality issues impacting SPS equipment

  • Prepare weekly inspection reports

  • Coordinate with Company Site Representative and CPY Material Engineer on welding, NDT, and materials matters

  • Stop work in case of non-conformity and reassess prior to restart

  • Agree practical solutions with contractors that maintain quality without impacting schedule

  • Ensure timely closure of non-conformities

  • Monitor site welding activities and provide feedback to the project team

  • Participate in audits and follow up on corrective actions

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

The service supports the execution phase of a major offshore development project. The multidisciplinary project team manages subsea systems, FPSO integration, and reservoir development.

Project objectives include:

  • Maximising economic performance

  • Optimising schedule, cost, and emissions

  • Maintaining high technical quality and H3SE standards

DURATION / LOCATION

  • Start Date: 1 March 2026

  • Duration: 1 year (renewable through fabrication until mid-2028)

  • Location: Rio, Brazil, with frequent travel to Distrito Industrial – Vespasiano/MG

  • Status: Residential

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience with WAG Manifolds and subsea structures

  • 15+ years of welding inspection experience

  • Certification as Welding Inspector: CWI / CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 (or equivalent)

  • NDT Level 3 certification (UT & PAUT, RT, DPI)

  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Fluent English required (Portuguese and/or French an advantage)
