Job Title: QC Inspector - WAG Manifolds

Missions / Service Dimensions

  • Deliver QC services at the WAG (Water Alternate Gas) manifolds worksite based in Rio, Brazil, with frequent travel to Distrito Industrial - Vespasiano/MG, Brazil.

  • Ensure the Contractor (CTR) supplies the WAG Manifold and Foundations on time, in compliance with TotalEnergies' HSE policies and required quality levels.

Activities

  • Liaise with:

    • CPY Subsea HSE Lead

    • CPY Quality Lead

    • CPY Materials & Welding Lead

    • CPY Delivery Lead

HSE and Compliance - The Service Holder Shall:

  • Fully comply with site security, health, and safety instructions, maintaining continuous awareness of hazards.

  • Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding H3SE rules, including all required training, and enforce CPY Subsea HSE Lead directions.

  • Report issues/anomalies using site systems and apply the TOTAL STOP WORK policy when needed.

  • Ensure risk assessments are performed as required and tool-box talks are conducted efficiently.

  • Adhere to Company Ethics and Code of Conduct, promoting Anti-Corruption Program reinforcement.

Work Tasks

  • Ensure work performed by CTR and sub-CTR complies with CPY and Project Specifications for WAG Manifolds and Foundations.

  • Conduct thorough inspection of welds and welding processes per WPS/PQR, codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Perform inspections before, during, and after welding per ISO 3834-2 requirements.

  • Apply extensive inspection experience (minimum 10 years) with CRA materials: Super Duplex (Pipe/Forging/HIPPED), Inconel 625, and LAS (F22).

  • Inspect buttering, overlay, and girth welding of Inconel 625 and Alloy 59 consumables.

  • Use advanced inspection techniques:

    • Visual

    • Ultrasonic

    • PAUT (Phased Array UT)

    • Magnetic Particle

    • Liquid Penetrant

    • Radiographic Testing
      according to ASME/DNV requirements.

  • Interpret WPS and PQR to validate site production compliance.

  • Inspect incoming materials against requirements and mill certificates.

  • Participate in root cause analyses for welding defects and develop corrective actions.

  • Identify and report deviations or unacceptable quality issues that could affect SPS equipment.

  • Prepare weekly inspection reports.

  • Collaborate with Company Site Representative and CPY Material Engineer on welding, NDT, and material matters.

  • Stop work in case of non-conformity and reassess before resuming.

  • Seek acceptable solutions with contractors and subcontractors that maintain quality without impacting schedule.

  • Ensure non-conformities are closed in a timely manner.

  • Monitor site welding activities and provide feedback to the project team.

  • Participate in audits and follow up on closure of identified issues.

Context & Environment

  • Part of the execution phase of a major project in Suriname.

  • The Suriname GPI is a multidisciplinary team managing TotalEnergies' offshore developments in Suriname Block 58.

  • Project challenges include:

    • Reservoir development and management

    • FPSO

    • Subsea production and injection systems

  • The project aims to maximize economic results, optimize reserves, schedule, cost, and GHG emissions while maintaining technical quality and high H3SE standards.
