Missions / Service Dimensions

Job Dimensions

  • Lead offshore rig-based well activities for the development project

  • Operate in a high-technical environment in a rotational position

  • Participate in both preparation and operational phases

  • Supervise all Major Services QA/QC systems

  • Report operationally to the Head of Operations

Key Activities

  • Prepare and implement service quality plans according to Total QA/QC requirements

  • Ensure materials and equipment are available on time and compliant

  • Supervise equipment and QA/QC services in warehouse and yard, ensuring compliance

  • Manage inspection activities for equipment manufacturing, including qualification of Third-Party Inspectors, review of purchase orders, allocation, and report review

  • Analyse and follow up on TPI Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) issued to equipment manufacturers

  • Build, maintain, and conduct audit system for qualification reviews of contracted local manufacturers

  • Develop and distribute performance indicators for local equipment suppliers across the affiliate

  • Attend service quality meetings with local equipment and service suppliers

  • Recommend, initiate, and monitor corrective actions for local equipment suppliers

  • Analyse incidents or downtime that raise concerns over the quality of equipment manufactured by local suppliers or sub-contractors

Context & Environment

  • Supports the Golfinho-Atum Project, including construction of two LNG trains in northern Mozambique

  • LNG trains process over 2 BCF of gas per day from offshore subsea gathering facilities located 40 km offshore

  • Well construction team primarily based in Maputo; logistics, QA/QC, HSE, and support functions based in Pemba (9-hectare logistics base)

  • One or two Drillships used for the drilling campaign

  • Wells in water depths of 700–1,400 m; well depth below mudline from 2,000–3,150 m

  • Current well architecture includes 36" × 20" × 14" × 10‑3/4" casing/liner scheme

Accountabilities

  • Participate in preparation and operational phases of the project

  • Supervise all Major Services QA/QC systems

  • Report operationally to Head of Operations

  • Report to Fluids Superintendent for QA/QC responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Post-high school qualification or technical degree

  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of drilling and completion tools/equipment

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore drilling and completion operations

  • Experience with major service contractors is an advantage

  • Strong knowledge of TotalEnergies QA/QC requirements

  • Understanding of API Q1 and API Q2 (or equivalent) quality management systems

  • Motivated, eager to learn, optimisation-oriented, and strong team player

  • Fluent in English and comfortable in multicultural environments

  • Valid BOSIET certification mandatory
