Job Title: QA/QC Inspector

Location: Onshore / Offshore, Qatar

Contract Type: Fixed-term / Project-based
Working Hours: Standard project hours; may require site visits

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector to support inspection and quality assurance activities for materials, equipment, and maintenance works within industrial facilities. The role involves performing inspections, coordinating non-destructive and destructive tests, reviewing contractor documentation, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and specifications. The successful candidate will interact with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect materials, static equipment, process piping, storage tanks, and spares to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and codes.

  • Conduct and witness non-destructive and destructive tests on materials and equipment.

  • Support development and verification of welding procedures, maintain welding and welder qualification records.

  • Coordinate periodic inspections of gas cylinders, portable tanks, and other equipment; maintain records and databases.

  • Provide QA/QC services during planned and unplanned maintenance shutdowns.

  • Review contractor maintenance and repair procedures, inspection and test plans, and QA/QC documentation.

  • Monitor and report on compliance with project quality requirements and contract specifications.

  • Support the closure of maintenance work orders in relevant systems and ensure timely completion of inspection reports.

  • Perform audits of suppliers and contractors’ quality assurance systems, preparing reports for review.

Qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Professional certifications such as AWS-SCWI, CSWIP 3.2, or equivalent.

  • API 510, 570, 653 certification as applicable.

  • ASNT/PCN Level 2 or Advanced NDT certification in UT, MT, PT, RT.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in materials inspection, fabrication, welding, NDT, testing, and coating activities within the oil & gas industry.

  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM, API, NACE/ISO).

Technical and Business Skills:

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Computer literate with data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to provide technical support and guidance to team members.
