Job Title: QA/QC Engineer - Oil & Gas

Location: Qatar

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer to join a leading oil and gas project in Qatar. The role will focus on ensuring the highest standards of quality management, compliance, and assurance across all phases of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
  • Oversee inspection and testing activities conducted by contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Conduct audits and prepare audit reports in accordance with ISO 9001, and preferably ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific quality requirements, including preparation and review of quality documents such as PQP, MST, ITP, WIR, MIR, MAS, material testing records, PQDs, NCRs, and related documentation.
  • Analyse quality performance data, prepare statistical reports, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to address quality-related matters and ensure smooth coordination between site and management teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (MMUP accreditation advantageous).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years in Quality Assurance & Quality Control, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards, including ISO 9001, QCS 2014, BS, and ACI.
  • Proven experience with QMS implementation, auditing, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with inspection and testing procedures across civil and structural works.
  • IRCA (or equivalent) Lead Auditor certification for IMS standards preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Must be locally available in Qatar.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale oil and gas infrastructure projects.
  • Background in port, marine, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
