Job Title: QA/QC Coordinator

Job Purpose
The QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising quality assurance and quality control activities for major oil and gas projects, including offshore platforms, jackets, and subsea pipelines. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international codes and standards, and corporate QA/QC requirements while leading multi-discipline QC inspectors.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate QA/QC inspection and testing activities across all project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Construction, and Offshore Installation.

Lead and manage QC inspectors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all inspection activities.

Ensure all works by contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, and service providers comply with project specifications, corporate standards, international codes (EN, ISO, API, ASME, ASTM), and contractual QA/QC requirements.

Support review of Material Requests, technical bids, and clarifications related to quality and certification during procurement.

Review and follow up on contractor/vendor engineering and procurement deliverables, including prequalification, inspection plans, FAT reports, and QA/QC documentation.

Ensure approved QA/QC documents (quality plans, ITPs, checklists, and procedures) are implemented effectively at fabrication, site, and offshore locations.

Monitor contractor/vendor adherence to quality requirements and address deficiencies; supervise TPI/inspection personnel activities.

Act as focal point for resolving shop or site-related quality issues in consultation with senior QA/QC management.

Control and follow up on technical deviations, material substitutions, and non-conformance reports (NCRs); ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Monitor and report quality KPIs, including welding repair rates, NDE performance, audit findings, and site surveillance reports.

Ensure proper management of inspection and test records, compilation of test packs, and submission of documentation to senior QA/QC management.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or higher in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.

CSWIP 3.2.1 or AWS Senior Welding Inspector Certificate with minimum 5 years post-certification experience preferred.

Coating inspector qualification (B Gas Grade 2 or NACE Level II) preferred.

NDT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT, or equivalent per ASNT/ISO standards.

Certified QMS Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) with minimum 5 years’ experience in auditing.

Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (EN, ISO, API, ASME, ASTM).

Minimum 15 years’ experience as QA/QC coordinator/lead in major oil and gas projects, including at least 5 years offshore.

Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party inspectors in multi-discipline activities.
