PTW Coordinator - Offshore (28/28 Rotation)
Location: Qatar Offshore (occasional onshore missions possible)
Start Date: 1st September 2025 or ASAP
End Date: 31st August 2028 (with potential extension)
Rotation: 28 days on / 28 days off
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced PTW (Permit to Work) Coordinator to support a major offshore oil and gas project in Qatar. This role is central to the integration and hook-up phases of a large-scale greenfield and brownfield development.
You will be the key link between HSE, operations, and construction teams, ensuring work is properly controlled, risk-managed, and coordinated across a complex offshore SIMOPS environment. It's a hands-on, mission-critical position that suits someone with strong offshore PTW experience and a deep understanding of construction safety.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as focal point for all PTWs issued on site
- Coordinate PTW preparation and approval across multiple stakeholders
- Identify conflicting permits and escalate SIMOPS issues
- Ensure all permits meet procedural and safety requirements
- Conduct quality checks on permit documentation prior to issue
- Liaise daily with offshore site teams and participate in permit coordination meetings
- Ensure timely submission and closure of permits in accordance with company procedures
- Provide daily and weekly PTW progress reports and KPIs to site leadership
- Train new personnel in the electronic control of work system (E-COW)
- Coordinate closely with contractors/subcontractors for PTW readiness and execution tracking
- Review constructability and shutdown plans to minimise risk and reduce offshore scope
- Support lessons learned and feedback for continuous improvement
- Support offshore completion readiness and ICAPS progress tracking
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree / HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil & gas, with strong exposure to SIMOPS and PTW systems
- Direct experience in offshore hook-up and construction coordination under Brownfield conditions
- Strong understanding of PTW procedures and interface management
- Familiar with international codes, standards, and offshore safety regulations
- Previous experience with Permit to Work systems in major oil & gas projects
- Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
- Able to work effectively in complex, multicultural environments
- Fluent in English; both verbal and written
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certifications required
- Middle East or Qatar project experience preferred
- Willing to travel worldwide for project follow-ups when required
