About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced PTW (Permit to Work) Coordinator to support a major offshore oil and gas project in Qatar. This role is central to the integration and hook-up phases of a large-scale greenfield and brownfield development.

You will be the key link between HSE, operations, and construction teams, ensuring work is properly controlled, risk-managed, and coordinated across a complex offshore SIMOPS environment. It's a hands-on, mission-critical position that suits someone with strong offshore PTW experience and a deep understanding of construction safety.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as focal point for all PTWs issued on site
  • Coordinate PTW preparation and approval across multiple stakeholders
  • Identify conflicting permits and escalate SIMOPS issues
  • Ensure all permits meet procedural and safety requirements
  • Conduct quality checks on permit documentation prior to issue
  • Liaise daily with offshore site teams and participate in permit coordination meetings
  • Ensure timely submission and closure of permits in accordance with company procedures
  • Provide daily and weekly PTW progress reports and KPIs to site leadership
  • Train new personnel in the electronic control of work system (E-COW)
  • Coordinate closely with contractors/subcontractors for PTW readiness and execution tracking
  • Review constructability and shutdown plans to minimise risk and reduce offshore scope
  • Support lessons learned and feedback for continuous improvement
  • Support offshore completion readiness and ICAPS progress tracking

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree / HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil & gas, with strong exposure to SIMOPS and PTW systems
  • Direct experience in offshore hook-up and construction coordination under Brownfield conditions
  • Strong understanding of PTW procedures and interface management
  • Familiar with international codes, standards, and offshore safety regulations
  • Previous experience with Permit to Work systems in major oil & gas projects
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively in complex, multicultural environments
  • Fluent in English; both verbal and written
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certifications required
  • Middle East or Qatar project experience preferred
  • Willing to travel worldwide for project follow-ups when required
