Overview:
We're looking for a proactive Proposals Engineer to join a growing engineering organisation specialising in large-scale industrial and energy projects. You'll play a key role in preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, and supporting contract negotiations that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in response to client tenders.
- Support bid/no-bid (Go/No-Go) decisions with the Commercial & Regional Manager.
- Review tender documentation, identify requirements, and clarify queries with stakeholders.
- Develop concept designs and coordinate with internal teams for drawings and pricing.
- Prepare cost estimates using data from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify subcontractor scope and maintain communication regarding quotations and timelines.
- Compile complete tender packages, including technical and commercial sections.
- Participate in internal review meetings and secure approvals before submission.
- Lead or support technical and commercial negotiations with clients.
- Ensure smooth project handover to the delivery team upon award.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of company processes and systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Key Interactions:
- Internal: Engineering, Design, Procurement, and Project Teams.
- External: Clients, Subcontractors, and Suppliers (high level of interaction)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Process, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in proposal preparation, sales, or estimating.
- Experience in industrial, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments preferred.
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of large capital equipment.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills (additional languages advantageous).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork, self-motivation, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with an eye for commercial opportunity.
- Ability to travel internationally when required (valid passport needed).
