Overview:
Due to recent project awards, we are recruiting six experienced Project Risk Engineers to join a global team. This role involves providing specialist risk engineering expertise to underwriters and delivering practical loss prevention guidance to clients across the power generation sector.
You will bring extensive operational knowledge of power generation assets and play a vital role in risk assessment, loss prevention, and supporting business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct operational and construction field surveys across CHP, biomass, biogas, and conventional power generation facilities.

Assess inherent risk and audit site departments to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and mitigation controls.

Develop and present loss prevention recommendations to site management, focusing on property damage and business interruption reduction.

Prepare clear and timely reports using risk estimation methods, survey formats, and rating tools.

Perform desktop risk analysis by reviewing and interpreting third-party technical information.

Communicate survey and desktop findings effectively to underwriters.

Manage client survey programmes, including service planning, coordination, report reviews, and stewardship meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 10 years’ industrial experience in power plant operations, engineering, or maintenance — or with a boiler, gas turbine, or transformer manufacturer.

Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.

Strong knowledge of engineering standards, practices, and risk management techniques.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Strong organisational, documentation, and IT skills.

Willingness to travel internationally (up to 80 days per year).
