The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a main contractor delivering high-value mission-critical and data centre projects across Ireland and Northern Europe. You’ll take ownership of commercial control across the full project lifecycle — from pre-contract through to final account — ensuring compliance, value protection, and proactive risk management.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day commercial and contract administration, maintaining accurate change and claim registers.

Manage change control: evaluate variations, prepare and agree CE/VOs, and mitigate risk through robust scope management.

Handle subcontract procurement including scope definition, tender analysis, negotiation, award, and management of flow-down terms.

Prepare and maintain cost plans, feasibility inputs, and monthly cost value reconciliations with accurate forecasting.

Validate subcontractor applications, certify payments, and ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.

Support strong cash flow through timely valuations and client billing with complete documentation.

Prepare, negotiate, and agree final accounts, including loss/expense, delay, disruption, and EOT claims.

Collaborate closely with project management, design, and client teams to maintain transparent communication and accurate records.

Uphold commercial governance and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or an equivalent discipline.

3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying on complex building or MEP-heavy projects (data centre, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing experience advantageous).

Working knowledge of standard contract forms such as NEC, FIDIC, or RIAI.

Strong document analysis skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities early.

Excellent numeracy, reporting, and negotiation skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach.

Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel capability.
