Project Manager - Offshore Platforms
Location: Kuala Lumpur / Offshore Site (as required)
Employment Type: 2-Year Contract
Overview:
The Project Manager will lead the overall execution and delivery of a major offshore platforms project, ensuring all phases are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role provides leadership across engineering, procurement, and project controls, and acts as the primary interface between project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full project lifecycle from FEED handover to detailed engineering, procurement, and fabrication support
- Serve as the main point of contact between project teams and stakeholders
- Manage project planning, execution, cost control, and progress reporting
- Oversee technical deliverables, quality assurance, and compliance
- Drive coordination across engineering disciplines and site execution teams
- Lead risk management, change control, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure project HSE objectives are fully implemented
- Conduct project performance reviews and provide strategic direction
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related)
- Minimum 15 years' experience in oil and gas, with at least 10 years in offshore platform projects
- Proven experience managing large EPC or EPCI scopes
- Strong knowledge of offshore fabrication, installation, and commissioning
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous
