Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager - Ecologist (Competence Level 4) to lead and manage ecological projects focusing on high-voltage power line corridors. You will be at the forefront of developing strategies and processes that support biodiversity, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure sustainable and effective management of valuable habitats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, coordinate, and oversee project execution to achieve project milestones and deliverables on schedule and to a high standard.

- Serve as the main liaison between authorities, stakeholders, and internal teams.

- Drive the development and improvement of inventory routines, ecological management processes, reporting, and training.

- Support the preparation of site-specific ecological management information.

- Deliver training on biodiversity management for internal staff and external maintenance providers.

Assignment Details:

- Start Date: 2 Feb 2026

- End Date: 23 Dec 2026

- Possible extension: 3 months (until 1 Mar 2027)

- Scope: Approximately 230 hours across the duration of the assignment (about 15% workload over the year)

- Security Clearance: Security vetting and background check required

- Location: Office based in Sundbyberg with flexible remote options; travel for site visits to power line corridors as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience conducting field ecological surveys

- Understanding of green infrastructure concepts

- Proficiency with GIS tools

- Skilled in preparing information material

- Practical experience working with power line corridors

- In-depth knowledge of biodiversity management

- Familiarity with power grid operations

- Strong project management skills (Uppdragsledare)

- Ecological expertise

- Knowledge of NVI standard (Naturvärdesinventering - Nature Value Inventory)
