Project Interface & Risk Lead - Offshore Mega Projects

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and project execution within major Oil & Gas projects, particularly offshore.
- At least 10 years in project/interface management leadership roles for large-scale offshore projects.
- Proven capability in managing multi-package EPIC projects simultaneously.
- Strong experience in applying interface and risk management best practices aligned with corporate systems and international standards.
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills in high-stakes project environments.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, team building, conflict resolution, and cross-discipline communication.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Interface Management:
- Lead all project interface activities to ensure safe, quality, and timely delivery across all execution stages.
- Develop and implement effective Interface Management Systems (IMS), procedures, registers, and strategies.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal/external stakeholders and contractors to address and resolve interface issues.
- Ensure interfaces are contractually defined and technically aligned with applicable codes, regulations, and Qatari standards.
- Manage technical interfaces across contractors, engineering teams, existing brownfield facilities, and new project packages.
- Monitor SOW boundaries and proactively address gaps or overlaps in scope between interfacing parties.
- Maintain and regularly update an Interface Register with clear action owners and priorities.
Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Project Risk Management Plan tailored to offshore execution.
- Develop and manage a structured Risk Register, assigning risk owners and tracking mitigation plans.
- Identify, categorize, and prioritize project risks and opportunities across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
- Facilitate periodic risk review sessions including QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment) workshops, cost/schedule impact reviews, and risk modeling.
- Lead monthly risk meetings with Project Managers and functional leads; track KPIs related to critical risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with company risk management protocols and maintain audit-ready records of all risk activities.
- Provide standard project-level risk reports (Top 10 risks, risk matrices, open actions, contingency breakdowns, etc.).
- Guide the EPIC Contractors in integrating their top risks into the project's master risk register.
Leadership & Coordination:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to Interface/Risk Coordinators.
- Coordinate with Engineering Discipline Leads, Project Managers, and Functional Heads to ensure alignment across technical and risk management deliverables.
- Recommend solutions to resolve complex interface and risk-related challenges during execution.
- Represent the Interface & Risk Management function during audits, technical reviews, and regulatory engagements.
- Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement in interface and risk management practices.
