Job Title: Project Engineer - Marine Civil Construction
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: Full-time
Reporting To: Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing marine construction and maintenance activities.
- Ensure project works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Monitor site progress, productivity, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, port authorities, and inspectors for inspections and approvals.
- Support contract administration, cost monitoring, and preparation of monthly valuations and progress reports.
- Implement and maintain Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) and HSE procedures on site.
- Maintain proper project documentation including reports, inspection records, and technical submissions.
- Ensure project works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedule.
- Develop construction methodologies and method statements for the project scope, ensuring safe and practical execution of works in a marine environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- MMUP / UPDA Certified Engineer.
- PMP Certification (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marine civil construction, port infrastructure, or Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience in marine maintenance works within operational ports or Oil & Gas terminals is an added advantage.
- Experience in repair, rehabilitation, and construction of berths, jetties, quay walls, dolphins, and marine structures.
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of marine civil construction activities and engineering drawings.
- Ability to coordinate site operations and manage project schedules.
- Good understanding of cost estimation, construction materials, and marine repair methods.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD and the related engineering documentation systems.
