About the Role:
We are currently recruiting a Project Document Controller to support a major oil and gas client in Esbjerg, Denmark. This is a residential contract role working within a highly collaborative Engineering & Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient control and traceability of all project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a structured and process-driven environment supporting key engineering and project execution activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage documentation workflows and ensure compliance with project document control procedures.

Oversee the receipt, registration, tracking, distribution, and filing of all technical and commercial project documentation.

Maintain project document registers and facilitate documentation review and approval processes.

Support project teams with document retrieval and provide training to new team members on document control systems and procedures.

Handle technical documentation including design packages, HAZOP/HAZID reports, close-out documentation, technical data sheets, and contractor commitments.

Verify and process invoices in relation to contracts in coordination with the cost engineer and project managers.

Provide ad hoc support to project managers and other Engineering & Construction team members as required.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a document control role within project environments, ideally in oil and gas, energy, or construction sectors.

Strong familiarity with project management systems and documentation handling processes.

Knowledge of contracting, procurement, and financial verification procedures.

High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Desirable:

Experience supporting engineering or construction projects.

Knowledge of basic project execution workflows and milestone tracking.
