This permanent expatriate position offers the chance to work on high-profile joint venture projects within downstream fuels, petrochemical, and infrastructure environments.

Role Overview
This role will provide independent oversight and strategic advisory on complex capital projects, ensuring alignment across schedule, cost, and risk domains. You will contribute directly to successful project outcomes through performance analysis, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Lead project health checks and present objective assessments to senior stakeholders.

Recommend corrective actions and mitigation strategies to align projects with business objectives.

Monitor and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess project progress and performance.

Develop and present detailed project status and performance reports.

Conduct forward-looking risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Maintain a comprehensive lessons-learned database to support knowledge sharing.

Lead benchmarking studies to enhance project delivery standards and identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to ensure control practices meet strategic goals.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum 15 years of project management experience, with at least 10 years focused on project controls.

Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or certification from AACEI (or equivalent) are essential.

Extensive experience managing large-scale capital projects in refinery, petrochemical, or infrastructure sectors.

Deep understanding of scope definition, cost estimating, planning, and scheduling.

Experience in developing and leveraging benchmarking databases for project performance analysis.
