Client: Pioneering Green Steel Production Company
Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract Position
Location: Boden, Sweden
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 hours per day)

Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company constructing a plant in Northern Sweden to produce Green Steel. Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared to conventional steel production.

Job Description

The Project Assurance Auditor is a key member of the Quality Team, responsible for defining, maintaining, and delivering the project assurance plan. The role ensures adherence to standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while confirming that risks are identified and mitigated through implemented management systems.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in project assurance for large-scale projects executed via multiple EPCM contracts. The assurance plan will primarily focus on EPCMs and OEMs, as well as selected major construction contractors.

Responsibilities

Assurance Plan

  • Develop and maintain the assurance schedule in conjunction with the Project Assurance Manager, Head of Project Quality, Area Directors, and Functional Managers (Engineering, Project Controls, Commissioning, HSE, etc.)

Assurance Events

  • Act as lead reviewer and own:

    • Definition of Terms of Reference for each assurance event, including objectives, detailed scope, review team definition, and review schedule

    • Execution of assurance events, leading pre-read reviews and on-site review activities

    • Participation in EPCM and OEM assurance events as an active observer

Follow-up on Assurance Events

  • Own follow-up activities arising from assurance events

    • Lead issuance of assurance reports

    • Follow up on actions and verification activities

Qualifications

Educational & Professional

  • Formal education in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in large infrastructure projects

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project assurance for a large infrastructure owner or EPCM

  • Deep understanding of project execution processes across HSE, Engineering, Contracts, Procurement, Project Controls, Construction, and Commissioning

Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to influence across disciplines and hierarchical levels

  • High attention to detail with the ability to analyse complex data and identify trends or gaps

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • High level of proactivity

  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • General ability to use digital tools
