A key opportunity has arisen for a skilled Product Maturation Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme in the energy sector. This role supports live digital products, ensuring their evolution aligns with business needs, user adoption, and value delivery.
Role Overview
The Product Maturation Engineer will be responsible for guiding the continuous development of live digital products and their transition into operational maturity. This includes managing product enhancements, advising product owners, and contributing to the organisation-wide digital governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Align live digital product strategies with evolving business needs
- Track product evolution through backlog prioritisation and value maximisation
- Identify and implement new features that expand user groups and improve adoption
- Support the transition of products into the application support team upon maturity
- Lead the development of product vision and digital platform strategies
- Evaluate product functionality and drive lifecycle evolution activities
- Ensure the delivery of enhancements is in line with agreed objectives
- Build an architectural overview of current use cases and digital frameworks
- Train and support product owners to maintain governance consistency
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to establish a unified digital approach
Internal Collaboration
- Represent digital governance across cross-functional teams
- Prioritise enhancements that deliver measurable business value
- Support other departments in aligning with the overarching digital strategy

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years' experience, ideally in digital transformation programmes
- Proven success in product lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration
- Background in oil and gas digital programmes is an advantage
- Fluent English communication, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with vendor and stakeholder relationship management
