A major energy project in the Gulf region is seeking an experienced procurement professional to support full lifecycle purchasing activities. This is a key role within a large-scale offshore development, offering the opportunity to influence supply chain performance across complex engineering scopes.

You’ll be involved in everything from pre-award evaluations to ensuring critical materials are delivered on schedule. The environment is fast-paced, technical, and highly collaborative — ideal for someone who enjoys solving procurement challenges and working closely with engineering, operations, and vendor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities across pre- and post-award phases, including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase order placement, expediting, inspection, logistics, and material delivery tracking.

  • Develop procurement strategies for project packages, including long-lead items, in line with corporate procedures, industry standards, and project specifications.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, EPC contractors and suppliers to maintain schedule compliance, resolve issues and ensure quality standards are met.

  • Monitor engineering requisitions, track variations, and manage procurement progress reporting.

  • Conduct vendor research, evaluation and audits; contribute to preferred vendor lists and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support site and vendor shop visits relating to inspections, audits, or issue resolution.

  • Oversee spare parts management activities, including SPIR development and readiness for commissioning and early operational phases.

  • Participate in commercial and technical meetings, contribute to policy improvements, and support project close-out activities including lessons learned.

Requirements

  • HNC or degree in Engineering (or equivalent).

  • At least 10 years’ procurement experience on major oil & gas projects.

  • Strong background in offshore EPIC / EPC project execution in the region.

  • Proven capability across bidding, awarding, buying, expediting and inspection.

  • Experience developing procurement plans and strategies within large projects.

  • Familiarity with enterprise procurement or maintenance systems (generic references only).

  • Hands-on experience with SPIRs and spare parts readiness for commissioning and early operations.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to conduct supplier site visits when required.

  • Applicants must already be eligible to work in the project location or meet local visa requirements; no sponsorship can be guaranteed.
