Description
- Take ownership of process safety for the project, ensuring it is embedded throughout the plant's design and delivery.
- Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to integrate safety considerations from early design stages through execution.
- Serve as the process safety expert within the project delivery team, supporting the organisation and preparing for the safety process handover to the operational team as production commencement approaches.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and be accountable for process safety across the project.
- Drive HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and other risk assessments, ensuring outcomes are implemented.
- Review and challenge engineering design from a safety perspective.
- Define and apply Swedish and European safety requirements throughout the project.
- Liaise directly with authorities and internal stakeholders regarding safety and permitting.
- Establish structures for follow-up, risk tracking, and compliance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for process safety, both technically and operationally.

Requirements
- Extensive experience in the steel industry or a similar heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of Swedish safety legislation and its practical application in projects.
- Several years of hands-on experience in process safety within industrial projects or operations.
- Proven experience in leading or facilitating HAZOP, risk assessments, or similar processes.
- Strong ability to challenge technical solutions and make clear, grounded decisions.
- Aptitude for working across teams and ensuring commitment to safety requirements.
- Comfortable taking responsibility for safety decisions while collaborating with others to achieve them.
