Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, certification, and commissioning of mechanical systems in line with technical and regulatory requirements

Serve as a subject matter expert across the mechanical engineering discipline

Mentor and guide junior engineers to drive high-quality outcomes

Manage specification and selection of mechanical equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, boilers, exchangers, valves, separators, and piping systems

Define scopes of work, provide estimates, and contribute to scheduling and cost planning

Identify design risks or scope changes early and proactively manage impacts

Deliver engineering solutions that meet safety, performance, and maintainability standards

Conduct onshore/offshore site surveys to inform design development

Monitor project progress, flag risks, and report in accordance with governance procedures

Prepare and review engineering documentation with an emphasis on quality and compliance

Engage in design reviews, vendor document evaluations, and HAZOPs

Collaborate with procurement to ensure technically correct and complete vendor packages
Candidate Profile:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Extensive experience in oil & gas, energy, or related heavy industrial sectors

Demonstrable knowledge of mechanical packages and static equipment

Skilled in both onshore and offshore engineering delivery

Confident in leading teams and managing technical scopes with minimal supervision

Strong communicator with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Familiarity with UK codes and standards for mechanical systems
