JOB TITLE: Principal Engineer
CLIENT: A prominent regional entity delivering end-to-end EPC solutions across marine infrastructure, offshore energy, and dredging operations.

ASSIGNMENT TYPE: Permanent Hire Staff role/ Full Residential role in UAE
WORK SCHEDULE: 9 hours (including lunch break)- From 8am to 5pm- Monday to Friday (Saturday & Sunday are week off)
START DATE: Late 2025/ Early 2026 - Depending on successful candidates circumstances

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for planning, technical guidance, and task allocation for the Engineering and Design teams. Resolves technical issues, coordinates specialized studies, attends client meetings, and ensures accurate preparation and review of all project documentation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Review Scope of Work (SoW) to assess manpower requirements.
- Secure approval for necessary resources for major projects.
- Plan and allocate tasks to Engineering and Design teams.
- Supervise and monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
- Attend project kick-off and progress meetings, providing engineering input.
- Review project drawings, documentation, calculations, Purchase Requisitions (PRs), technical evaluations, and manpower estimates for accuracy.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid duplication and ensure effective progress.
- Address project queries and escalate unresolved issues to the Project Engineering Manager.
- Participate in design review meetings, providing technical advice and expertise.
- Coordinate engineering inputs for project bid preparation.
- Ensure all completion actions are addressed at project closeout.
- Mentor junior engineers to support professional development and skill enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and QA (Quality Assurance) standards.
- Lead engineering teams on large-scale projects, providing guidance and support to achieve project objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (related discipline) or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years' experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
