Job Title: Plant Safety Officer
Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar
Working Hours: 5-day week, 8–10 hours/day (as per project requirements)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Safety Officer to support safe and environmentally compliant operations within large-scale oil and gas facilities. The role ensures the continuous enhancement of safety culture by monitoring compliance, leading safety initiatives, and supporting incident prevention across plant operations and contractor activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and reinforce safe behaviours and practices among employees and contractors.
  • Conduct PTW audits, safety surveys, compliance assessments, and inspections of life-saving equipment.
  • Act as a facilitator for incident management, including investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in asset safety tours, safety committee meetings, and emergency drills or exercises.
  • Support risk management processes including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Formal Risk Assessment (FRA), and risk register reviews.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance trends to plant personnel.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company safety procedures, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in safety operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Operational knowledge across exploration, drilling, production, and refining.
  • Offshore experience with platforms, jack-up rigs, drillships, semisubmersibles, barges, and FPSOs.
  • Familiarity with offshore life-saving equipment (lifebuoys, lifejackets, lifeboats, rafts, rescue boats).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Computer literate with strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills.
