Job Title: Crane Installation Supervisor (Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance)

Location: Netherlands
Contract Type: Permanent or Interim (with option for transfer to direct hire after an agreed period)

Overview
We are seeking a Crane Installation Supervisor to take responsibility for the maintenance and reliability of cranes critical to production operations. This role combines hands-on technical work with planning, coordination, and team leadership. You will ensure malfunctions are quickly resolved, oversee maintenance activities, and contribute to long-term reliability through structured maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

  • Switch off and secure cranes for inspection and maintenance.

  • Supervise and support maintenance activities carried out by colleagues and contractors.

  • Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance.

  • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions, including electrical and control issues.

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans with a focus on safety and compliance.

  • Order materials and manage the maintenance budget.

  • Take an active hands-on role when required.

Requirements

  • Completed MBO Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

  • Knowledge of PLC and relay systems.

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every six weeks.

  • VCA Basic Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Ability to balance independent work with teamwork and adapt to unexpected situations.

Work Environment
You will join a maintenance team of around 11 specialists, responsible for a large fleet of overhead cranes and related installations. Cranes are taken out of operation four times a year for scheduled inspection and servicing. The team works in a supportive and informal environment where collaboration is key.
