Plant Manager

Take ownership. Drive performance. Lead with purpose.

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Plant Manager to lead operations at a busy production site. This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for site performance, culture, safety, and compliance.

You’ll be responsible for setting the tone across the site — ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and with a clear vision for continuous improvement. If you’re a people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, this could be your next big move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily operations across the site to ensure safety, sustainability, and efficiency

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to foster a positive, accountable working culture

  • Act as the site lead for health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ); chair safety meetings and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards

  • Manage production, maintenance, and resources to hit targets on time and within budget

  • Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity gains

  • Maintain oversight of all site infrastructure, including asset integrity, security, and emergency systems

  • Foster collaboration across departments and ensure strong communication at all levels

  • Represent the site in discussions with external stakeholders including unions and regulators

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in a plant, production, or manufacturing environment

  • Qualification via HNC/HND or equivalent practical background

  • Demonstrated success managing teams in high-performance settings

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices and ISO standards

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build trust across functions

  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Experience working with unions and regulatory bodies

  • NEBOSH Certificate (preferred but not essential – support can be provided)
