Job Title: Planning Engineer
Location: Doha/South Korea (candidates must be open to either location, as required by the Project)

Job Description Overview:
The Planning Engineer will play a crucial role in the Ruya Batch 1 Project, specifically focusing on planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting. The engineer will ensure that all planning activities align with project objectives and company specifications, and they will be actively involved in critical path analysis, risk management, and progress tracking throughout the project phases. This role will require the successful candidate to manage multiple interfaces, prepare detailed project schedules, and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling:
- Ensure that planning and scheduling requirements are in line with project objectives and comply with company specifications.
- Maintain and update project schedules, conduct critical path analysis (CPA), and propose corrective actions for potential delays.
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules and interfaces for multiple project packages.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of risk analyses for the project schedule.
- Progress Measurement & Reporting:
- Provide planning and scheduling inputs for cost forecasting, reporting purposes, and performance analysis.
- Ensure accurate and updated scheduling and progress measurement documentation at all times.
- Actively participate in planning reviews, technical audits, and status reporting (weekly, monthly reports).
- Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with project teams and external contractors to ensure planning objectives align with overall project requirements.
- Organize planning review meetings, lead discussions, and consolidate actions for planning incorporation.
- Support Integrated Operations Planning (IOP) and represent Major Projects in planning meetings.
- Scope & Interface Management:
- Develop, update, and manage schedules for both brownfield and greenfield project scopes (e.g., Wellhead Platforms, Central Processing Platform, subsea pipelines).
- Coordinate and maintain Primavera database for Major Projects and be the focal point for Primavera-related queries.
- Ensure proper planning of interfaces, including SIMOPS activities and offshore brownfield and greenfield scopes.
- Risk Management:
- Support and manage the Risk and Opportunities Management process and assist in creating mitigation plans for any risks identified in the project schedule.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of project schedule risk analysis.
- Report Preparation & Presentation:
- Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses for stakeholders.
- Organize, lead, and contribute to planning workshops, both internal and external.
- Project Execution & Support:
- Provide oversight during the execution phase of the project, ensuring alignment with the integrated project schedule.
- Monitor project progress and propose solutions for any issues or delays encountered.
- Support senior planners and other project personnel with planning, scheduling, and reporting tasks as required.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Extensive Experience: Minimum of 15 years in Project Planning for EPIC projects in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Experience in Oil & Gas Operations: Preferably within oil and gas operating companies, with knowledge of offshore platforms, subsea pipelines, and complex interface management.
- Planning Software Competency: High level of expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Office Project.
- MS Office Competency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Independent Work Ability: Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Flexibility: Willingness to relocate and work at project locations as required (Doha or South Korea).
- Certifications: H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET (if required).
