Job Title: Planner
Location: Onshore Qatar (Ras Laffan / Doha HQ)
Type: Two-year contract with potential extension
Working Schedule: 8-10 hours per day, Sunday to Thursday

Role Overview
We are seeking a Planner to support operations planning activities during the project and start-up phases of onshore assets. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable operations, coordinating commissioning, start-up, and life cycle maintenance activities while liaising with internal teams and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and complete commissioning and start-up scheduling activities to ensure high-quality, efficient startup.
- Track system commissioning progress and update operations teams to ensure alignment with startup plans.
- Maintain equipment commissioning logs and ensure completion of commissioning activities for operational readiness.
- Monitor operational readiness deliverables to ensure safe and reliable startup and maintenance of new facilities.
- Support operations teams regarding chemicals and consumables availability during start-up.
- Participate in risk screening and risk assessment processes to inform management decision-making.
- Support closure of operational deliverables and exceptions following project handover.
- Participate in Risk Based Work Selection (RBWS) meetings and follow up on operational defects.
- Assist in developing Work Plan & Budget (WP&B), annual major jobs lists, and integrated schedules for planned and emergency outages.
- Facilitate management of emergency outages and plant shutdowns, providing recommendations and scheduling troubleshooting activities, and generate required progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera).
Skills and Competencies
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of safety, health, and environmental standards in the workplace.
