Overview
An international energy operator is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join its Projects Engineering Support function. This is a technically engaging role working on large-scale oil and gas facilities, offering exposure to complex project interfaces and multi-disciplinary delivery environments.
You will play a key role in ensuring piping and valve engineering activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with recognised industry standards throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver piping and valve engineering activities in compliance with regulatory, project, and engineering requirements

Resolve technical issues during design and execution phases, escalating where required

Support project execution teams with engineering input and coordination

Contribute to the development and update of engineering procedures and project documentation

Review and support engineering work performed by contractors and third-party service providers

Ensure piping design, specification, and procurement activities align with approved project philosophies

Provide technical guidance during FEED, detailed engineering, and construction phases

Support multi-disciplinary coordination and contribute specialist input where required

Assist with planning, scheduling, and delivery of engineering activities to meet project milestones

Ensure all activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

Promote safe working practices across all project phases
Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Experience
-
Minimum 4 years of experience in piping engineering within the oil and gas industry

At least 3 years of experience supporting project execution or project management teams

Experience working with EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of piping and valve engineering principles and industry codes

Ability to manage technical interfaces across internal and external stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Clear and professional written and spoken English

Proficient with standard engineering design and analysis tools
