Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineer to join a global energy operator's team in Paris. The role focuses on the design and integrity of offshore pipelines and risers in both shallow and deepwater environments, as well as occasional support on onshore pipeline systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to early-phase development studies and support key design reviews across all project stages from concept through to detail design and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preliminary design of offshore pipelines and risers (shallow and deepwater)

Conduct conceptual and pre-project phase studies, including shore approaches and crossings

Review contractor documentation for FEED and detailed design phases

Respond to technical queries and provide recommendations via formal memos

Support asset integrity assessments and life extension strategies for pipeline systems

Recommend inspection, repair, and maintenance strategies for existing assets

Conduct studies on decommissioning and requalification of pipeline systems

Participate in project reviews, technical audits, and value engineering sessions

Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of internal standards

Provide support on onshore pipeline engineering as needed
Technical Requirements:

Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore pipeline and riser design (rigid systems)

Knowledge of onshore pipeline systems

Strong understanding of international offshore design codes and standards including:
-
DNV ST F101, DNV ST F201
-
ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4

API STD 2RD, API RP 1111

Familiarity with onshore pipeline codes such as ASME B31.8, B31.4, ISO 13623
