Operations & Maintenance Manager – Renewable Energy (West Region)
Location: Paicines, California
We’re seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to oversee renewable energy generation assets in California. This role is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation and maintenance of facilities, while leading plant teams to deliver optimal performance.
This position requires a strong technical background in power generation and renewable energy, paired with proven leadership skills in plant operations, maintenance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations

Oversee daily production to ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and within design parameters

Ensure compliance with operational processes, safety protocols, and applicable laws/regulations

Monitor and report performance, addressing operational issues as needed

Coordinate event response and resolve operational challenges
Plant Maintenance

Lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize plant reliability and profitability

Approve and manage procurement of equipment, contractors, and materials within budgetary limits

Ensure staff are properly trained and maintain a strong safety culture

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgets and long-term asset planning
Technical & Regulatory

Support asset management with operational analysis and reporting

Stay current on industry codes, regulations, and standards

Build and maintain supplier and community relationships

Represent the company in meetings, inspections, and facility visits
Qualifications & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree preferred

Journeyman or Master Electrician license may substitute for 2 years’ experience

NABCEP certification or electrical license preferred
-
8+ years in O&M for electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, including at least 2 years in renewable energy

5+ years in supervisory or leadership positions

Experience managing facilities and personnel

Strong knowledge of plant operations, substation equipment, and regulatory compliance (NERC, OSHA, environmental)

Familiarity with energy markets and regulatory agencies in California

Skilled in SCADA, DAS, CMMS systems, and MS Office

Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and maintain stakeholder relationships

Valid unrestricted driver’s license required

Willingness to work weekends or off-shifts when needed
