JOB TITLE: Operation Safety Leader SERVICES

CONTRACT LENGTH: Initial 36 Month contract with possibility of extension

WORKING SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday / 5 days a week

MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS

  • Demonstrate strong HSE Leadership by setting high HSEQ standards.
  • Comply with company's HSSE responsibilities, good industry practices, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee D&W HSSE requirements onshore at contractor bases, offshore - on two (2) rigs, and with external stakeholders.
  • Encourage continuous improvements of HSSE processes, procedures and methods.
  • The service holder reports within the Performance and Methods team on GranMorgu development (Drilling and Wells package).

HSE & Sustainability

  • Full implementation of company OneMaestro Principles, 12 Golden Rules, Company referential, Code of Conduct, policies & procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong HSSE Leadership by setting high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the responsibilities prescribed in GM-OT-DW-202 and GM-GR-HSE-121.
  • Focal point for HSSE topics in D&W discipline.
  • Assist the RSES to ensure rig supervisory staff are knowledgeable of the MEDEVAC / MEDERESCUE Plan, BOCP (Blow Out Contingency Plan) and its associated drills, and OSCP (Oil Spill Contingency Plan).
  • Prepare and follow HSSE annual KPIs in collaboration with the heads and D&W manager (near misses, safety/obs/anomaly cards, TRIR, LTIF, FAC, audits (e.g. COSITE), DGS, perfect days etc).
  • Communicate HSSE themes, roadmaps & dashboards and follow-up with CTA/DGS/audit actions.
  • Responsible for HSSE derogations, incident reporting and case management in Polarion or Synergi or IQ-ALL.
  • Ensure that HSSE rewards and improvement plans are executed promptly.
  • Responsible for HSSE campaigns/initiatives, distribution of safety alerts, information bulletin and the preparation of HSSE REX (Polarion).
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and company HSSE referential.
  • Coordinate quarterly site committee meetings & site visits to operational sites (onshore and offshore).
  • Lead the development and implementation of SIMOPS dossiers and bridging documents and work transversely with D&W and Field Operations (FOPS) entities.
  • Via LIZZY and SafePass, follow the progress of D&W personnel's HSSE trainings (staff and external) - CR-GR-HSE-601, CR-GR-RH-106, and CR OT DW 250.
  • Assist rig superintendent in controlling rig and service contractor training requirements.
  • Follow HSE performances of up to two (2) rigs and issue End of Month HSE report + Dashboard for D&W entity.
  • Facilitate risk assessments for well operations, conduct cause tree analysis (CTA), and debrief with D&W entity, rig and service contractors.
  • Contribute to HSSE parts in well program, service quality meetings (SQM) and contracts.
  • Manage and execute rig / service Contractor annual HSEQ-MS Audits at bases.
  • Work closely with logistics entity to ensure that marine, lifting and other relevant activities are planned and executed safely.

Records & Reporting

  • Proficiency with digital reporting applications e.g. MS Office suite of software applications, Power BI, Polarion, Synergy etc.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with contractor and company.

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT

  • Project: Fast Track Green Field deepwater project (32 wells, 2 deepwater rigs, 3 years drilling). 'Activity takes place in the context of the POST-FID phase of the first major development (GranMorgu) in Suriname. This is a new Oil and Gas (O&G) province for the company and the industry.
  • Position: Multicultural environment with contractors setting up for the first time in Suriname.
  • The appraisal campaign has been concluded, and the project's First Oil is scheduled for Q4 2027.
  • Drilling & Well Operations will begin Q4 2026.
  • The role will join GranMorgu D&W Team from Q1 2026 in Paramaribo (resident).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Professional Experience (years): +15 years in upstream Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in similar position (years): ±6 to 10 years in similar position
  • Level / Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent and an HSSE certification.
  • Languages: English mandatory. French or any other language are a plus.
