A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Offshore Structures Engineer to support a range of energy transition and conventional energy projects. The role covers onshore, offshore, hydrogen, carbon capture, and renewable developments, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement that typically allows around 60% remote work each month.

About the Role
The Offshore Structures Engineer will support structural engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, FEED, troubleshooting, and decommissioning. The role involves design, analysis, and collaboration with multiple disciplines to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support offshore structural engineering across feasibility, FEED, troubleshooting, and decommissioning phases.

  • Design metallic offshore structures, including fixed platforms and floating topsides, and develop FEA models.

  • Design foundation elements such as piles and mud mats.

  • Assess and re-design existing structures, perform life-extension studies, and prepare inspection plans.

  • Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and scopes of work.

  • Provide technical input for drawings and attend coordination meetings.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and other disciplines throughout project delivery.

  • Liaise with clients, shipyards, contractors, and certification bodies.

  • Ensure compliance with offshore design standards and HSEQ requirements.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Familiarity with structural and FEA software.

  • Experience with DNVGL SESAM or ANSYS is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
