Job Title: Offshore Site Manager
Location: Offshore (rotation 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off), Rhode Island
Type: Contract

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Site Manager to oversee all offshore construction activities on behalf of the Construction Project Manager. The position is responsible for site setup, coordination, and management during the construction and commissioning phases of an offshore wind farm project. The successful candidate will maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project governance, including relevant processes, procedures, and tools.

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as construction packages, suppliers, and authorities.

  • Coordinate and oversee daily offshore activities across assets, departments, and contractors, including reporting and performance monitoring.

  • Lead, train, and support offshore operations staff including site technicians, coordinators, harbour site supervisors, and HSE advisors.

  • Engage with industry forums and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage budget and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Plan and coordinate construction, marine, and helicopter activities, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.

  • Serve as the main liaison for installation packages and contractors, managing interfaces and chairing coordination meetings.

  • Oversee HSE execution, ensuring plans are implemented and updated as needed.

  • Manage internal handover processes and maintenance activities prior to transfer to operations.

  • Oversee vessel performance and ensure efficient offshore communications.

  • Provide input to tenders, budgets, forecasts, and lessons learned documentation.

  • Support procurement processes for offshore support services and vessels.

  • Approve contractor invoices, staff hours, and travel expenses.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and project requirements.

  • Final asset transfer certificates and close-out reports

Decision Authority

  • Recommend and request required resources and equipment.

  • In collaboration with the Construction Project Manager, plan and approve daily installation activities.

  • Hold authority to stop work if safety or project standards are not being met.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 to 8 years of documented experience in construction management, ideally within the offshore or wind energy sectors.

  • Proven track record in large-scale project environments.

  • 5 to 8 years of leadership experience, managing multi-disciplinary offshore teams.

  • Strong knowledge of offshore safety regulations, marine coordination, and installation processes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Candidates must bring their own PC and/or iPhone. Devices must be kept up to date with the latest software and security patches.

  • Travel expenses will be covered by the project.

  • Offshore rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off.
