Job Title: Field Superintendent - Power Generation
Overview
We are supporting a major international energy operator in the search for an experienced Field Superintendent - Power Generation to join a large-scale LNG development project.
This is a senior site-based role focused on overseeing construction and delivery of power generation systems within a complex industrial environment. The position offers the opportunity to work on a high-value, technically challenging project, contributing to the safe and successful delivery of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements
- Support the Area Manager in overseeing power generation construction activities
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure alignment with project standards and procedures
- Maintain close coordination with contractors and subcontractors on site
- Oversee construction activities through to pre-commissioning and handover
- Review progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation measures
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and technical requirements
- Participate in planning meetings and contribute to reporting processes
- Support execution planning, method statements, and construction procedures
- Monitor commissioning readiness and transition from construction to operations
- Identify and resolve technical and organisational challenges
- Contribute to audits, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Project Environment
- Large-scale, complex LNG development with multi-billion-dollar investment
- Extensive onshore facilities including power generation and utilities systems
- Remote site location with challenging logistics and working conditions
- Multinational project environment with a diverse workforce
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial or energy projects
- At least 10 years in a superintendent or similar leadership role
- Strong background in power generation and electrical systems
- Experience in large-scale construction environments, preferably within oil and gas or LNG
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and project delivery requirements
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
